Hi all,
Looking at taking the test in a week or so, tried calling the closest test center, got an automated message there hours were 2-4 pm Tuesday thru Saturday.
I called 3 times and left a message to call me back. no reply
I called the second closest place today and wow, somebody answered the phone, very helpful and friendly. He sent me an email with help and instructions.
I figured i'd share

Peter: It was great speaking with you today, and thank you for contacting Horizon Aviation regarding testing for the Part 107 certification. The following "boilerplate" email contains info regarding the FAA UAV Part 107 training and testing. It is a synopsis of information we have compiled to date. This info may be helpful to you. Please read on!
The Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 107) regulations govern the operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, for commercial purposes, with a maximum weight of 55 pounds and over. We administer the Part 107 Unmanned Aircraft Systems Knowledge test here at Horizon Aviation.
Training resources are in several places. Refer to the FAA link: Airman Knowledge Sample Test Questions, and review Unmanned Aircraft General. There is a small sample test there.
For the Part 107 Remote Pilot - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems test, here are four study/review resources available:
1) Online sample questions, https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/test_questions/media/uag_sample_exam.pdf; and from those questions you can search the PLT ocdes for topic you can dig deeper into.

2)The Part 107 online training course available at faasafety.gov, https://www.faasafety.gov/login/Default.aspx?dest=gslac/ALC/course_content&enroll=true&cID=451; and
(top left corner of the screen)

3) The 2016 Part 107 Advisory Circular, https://www.faa.gov/documentlibrary/media/advisory_circular/ac_107-2.pdf
4) and the update from 2019 Advisory Circular; https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_91-57B.pdf

5) and finally, stay updated with all the FAA Unmanned Aircraft, FAA For You; Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
Continuing prep for the sUAS exam, I found this document in a search for prep materials: http://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/media/remote_pilot_study_guide.pdf. It should be helpful to you, and if you come in for a targeted lesson, you'll need it.

At Horizon, we suggest that you self-study 10-20 hours, and then call us to set up an appointment for you to meet with one of our instructors to help you prepare for the Knowledge Test, or fine-tune your knowledge of airspace and drone operations. Instructor rate for this ground training is $75/hr. If you meet with our instructor, please bring a printed copy of the Remote Pilot Study Guide document.

Or if you'd prefer, Contact King Schools for their Drone Pilot course, King Schools. Excellent resource, guaranteed pass!
You can call me at my office and I can schedule your test. For your scheduling info, we test Tuesday thru Saturday, 9:00AM to 5:00 PM, here at our Norwood office. It's a 2-hour test, so plan on starting no later than 2:30PM to take full advantage of the allotted block. When you call, I will create a profile for each student with demographics including address, DOB, city/state (or country of birth if a appropriate), contact phone number and email. For the test, you'll be required to establish citizenship: US Citizenship can be established by a driver's license, or if non-US, a passport and photo ID will be required.
Remote Pilots (UAS, Drone, part 107) applicants with questions can always contact FAA’s UAS Integration Office vie email at [email protected] or by calling 844-FLY-MY-UA. Applicants may also contact their Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).
Feedback from the testing to-date has been positive, and the folks that I've met here have been well prepared, professional and appreciate of this step that the FAA has taken to make everybody's airspace safer. I will also add your email to my Remote Pilot database, and keep you updated on announcements and helpful items that come across my desk. One suggestion to you when you come in for the test is to bring a magnifying glass, as some of the materials are small scale maps. You may also bring a calculator, but if you don't have these items, I have them available here.
Here is a Facebook page that I've found helpful. It seems professional and informative (use it at your own risk--I can't endorse it). https://www.facebook.com/groups/commercialsuaspilots/
And finally, a helpful site from a recent test taker:
Free Part 107 Test Study Guide For FAA Remote Pilot Airmen Certificate (Updated 2019) -

We hope to see you soon!
Safe Flying!
