The carrying case that came with my MA fly more combo is super nice and has a exclusive look, but to me that is a city solution, and I will not be flying in any city any time soon.

This is a short review on the smallest and most rugged carrying that I could find, to fit my MA fly more combo (Drone, controller and all 3 batteries, one in the MA). If you are looking for a case that will also fit youre charger, extra props and other accessories, this case is not it.
I was after a case that would be small enough to fit in my back pack, with impact resistance, and still be water resistant.
As with any Peli case, the price is premium, about 90 USD. There are a lot of knock-offs out there if you have the time to find it, wait for a CN delivery, and gamble on the build quality, and the smell......

Outer dimensions: 296 x 212 x 96 mm This is the size of an A4 paper!
Inner dimensions: 268 x 153 x 80 mm

As much research as I made I was a bit bummed to see that the controller did not really fit perfectly inside of the case, there is about 0.5 cm missing to get the antennas down properly. Nevertheless, it all fits ok and the lid closes without having to use force.

Pros & Cons:
+ Do not think there is any smaller carrying solution that is as rugged and durable as this.
+ Water resistant, dust proof, impact resistance for transporting and storage piece of mind.
+ Comes in Black, diving yellow or orange

- The controller did not fit perfectly inside, it is now stored i an angle. Might cut out 0.5 cm of the foam kn the side just to get the erfect fit.
- There are no attachemnt holes for a carrying strap. If you use the holes on the side of the handles (see picture below), you have to disconnect to be able to open the lid.

As with any Peli case, the price is premium, about 90 USD.

I have to assume you are somewhere else besides the US, cause I just bought the Pelican 1200 in orange for 39 USD.

The 1200 is a better choice as to is deeper. You can fit more batteries and it’s deeper and a tad wider, but a little shorter.

1170 OD 11.73 x 8.34 x 3.78
1200 OD 10.6 x 9.7 x 4.9

Basically more like a square than a rectangle and an inch deeper.

I'm from Sweden. That price is crazy, cannot even get a knock off sent here for that price.

I use the 1200, I have four batteries, drone, controller, props, ND filters, and spare SD card in it. Works well. I test fitted the 1170 and thought it was to small. Plus I wanted to make sure Mavic had good enough padding as I throw my Pelican case on the back of my snowmobile.

Also wanted to fit the extra props. And spare SD. Came up with this, that will work for any foam top case padding, see attached picture. Now have two spare SD cards, 4 spare props. And the extra set of removable joysticks.
