I'm not sure if anyone will have the answer to this question yet since very few people actually have a Mavic in their hands. I think I read somewhere that the point of interest mode on the Mavic will allow you to tap on a subject using the touch screen on your phone. My phantom 3 requires the pilot to fly above the area that you wish to rotate your flight pattern around. This doesn't help if you are trying to circle around a large, tall object like a rock formation that rises above 400 feet. It would be really cool if you could just tap on that rock formation and set the point of interest that way. Does anyone know if this is the case with the Mavic?

If you check this video:

He uses the poi feature on himself. Don't know about a rock formation tho..

Nicely demonstrated video.. was he using google glasses to record some of the pov shots.. that was pretty cool..

So, if the object that was the POI moves, does Mavic shift its orbit to adjust?

I.e. Can I have Mavic fly circles around me while I walk?
