Being a former cop, I can tell you, there is a big need for drones. You have no idea how often someone runs, and well, most cops are out of shape and can't keep up lol. Normally we have to call over to see if we can get the helicopter to come over and search the area. The problem is, if it is on the ground, we have to wait for it to take off and get to us.

If you had a few units trained on flying a drone with a thermal camera on it, they could be on the scene and in the air much faster. Also, huge savings on fuel.
