Question on tablet mounts and antenna aiming

Hi guys, have been flying alot more lately and not liking my mini 4 in the controller. I keep finding myself holding it up to my face and trying best to get the flat part of the antennas toward the mavic. Its just getting akward. Was looking at a cheaper tablet mounts on amazon and a sunshade to see better. How are you guys aiming your antennas, does it have to be perfect? Ive noticed alot of videos even long distance ones the antennas are more or less pointing to the ground and not up in the air to the rc. Also does this setup affect the mavic at all if it is straight above me? I lay them out flat if im high up above where i took off from. But will the signal be weaker with the tablet above them? Havent took it out to far, most of the time its within 1k feet. Just curious if im worrying about it to much. Its a pain trying to see the screen, hopefully the shade will help alot.
