Hi,

I'm new to drones so this may be a silly question.

The max attitude in the UK is 400ft which is fine and I'll never attempt to go beyond it however what if I fly off a cliff.

I'm planning some shots in the Welsh mountains which may result in flying over cliffs into valleys and I'm a little worried once i've set everything and I'm ready to fly with GPS will the Mavic once over the cliff attempt to reduce its own altitude?

Plus how will the return to home work?

Thanks
Andy

No. You must reduce the altitude manually.

After flying over the cliff, the altitude will remain the same in DJI GO as long as your Mavic did not ascend/descend. The displayed altitude is always the height above the takeoff location.

It works like it always works. Do you have a specific question about it?

You can fly 400' AGL (above ground level). So you can fly 400' above a mountain peak. That said, I detect some confusion here. Are you aware that the 400' setting in the Mavic is 400' above your launch point?
