RC Controller Question

I was given a new Mavic 3 Classic as a gift, and it came with the RC Controller. Since I already have an RC Controller, I have not even opened or turned on the one that came with this aircraft. I would like to sell the unused controller. Is it safe to assume I can sell this to someone, and not have them get hung up with binding issues?
