Recording audio on the Mavic itself?

I know the mavic itself won't record the audio. Has someone figured a way to strap a tiny microphone with an sd card to the mavic, that barely weighs anything? I can record audio on my racing drone's camera and it's just so much more interesting to watch the video, as you hear the motors rev as you're accelerating, the wind blowing, you get more of a flying experience.

Found a couple micro dvr's for under $15, weighing 5 - 9 grams, maybe will give'em a try.

I haven't tried this, reminds me of the old days with my Phantom 1 and GoPro, I always cut the audio out though, I found it annoying LOL.

What an interesting topic. I'm currently designing a DIY thermal imaging system for my Mavic which transmits the thermal video stream back to my RC ... I guess it would be a trivial matter to also transmit sound back as well. Might make FPV a whole new experience ...

Google “microSD audio recorder” - there are many options. The cheaper ones likely have poor sound.

How do you see a thermal???

LOL! Thermal as in heat imagery or Long Wave Infra Red (LWIR), not thermal as in columns of relatively warmer air used by gliders for lift! ;p My project is outlined on here, actually - stagnated a bit recently but getting back on track now: Thermal Imaging on the Mavic Pro
