Hi,

I’m really new to the mavic mini, tried looking this up but unsuccessful. So I was flying today and where the compass icon is on the bottom middle of the screen screen (DJI Fly app) which shows the triangle where the drone is pointing, this changed to a red square icon that looked like an iPad with a stylus beside it and semi circle of dots around it flashing.. any idea what this is? Should have screen shot it. Any help would be really appreciated.

have not seen that yet but i believe it means compass error or possibly loss of locked gps signal

Thanks for the reply. So if it’s compass error do I just calibrate the compass to resolve it? And what should I do if it’s loss of locked gps signal to prevent that happening? Thanks

if it is a,compass issue then it would need calibrating but it would tell you to calibrate compass, loss of GPS could be caused by flying in a place that has a lot of trees around and is in a valley which means that the signals from the satts cant be seen by the drone, in sufficient numbers to get a good lock, such as when inside a building or under a metal structure and if you were higher than the downwards sensors operating range

Ok sure thank you. Strange as I was just in a big open field, trees only on the outside edges of it. No valley or anything drone was probably 150-200m away.
Do I need to do anything if it’s to do with Radar?
