Redneck drone recovery

One way to get it. Hope the tree was on your property.
All mine weren’t .

I can think of at least two ways that would be less intrusive. Slingshot, small weight, light line, & rope; shoot weight with fishing line over limb, pull heavier rope over - yank and shake. No luck coming loose? Pull up a high limb rope chainsaw and sacrifice just one limb.

I have a telescopic 50' fiberglass pole that would do the job nicely as well.

Not really sure the term "redneck" would be the right word - I can think of other words that would be more appropriate

My teenagers used a fishing pole.... they are good at fly fishing so it didn’t take them long to snag it... one pulled slightly and the other actually caught it.

Good advice above....but gaining momentum from the swing ...I would have launched into the air....grabbed the done ...done a double somersault a pike and finished with a one hand-stand (of course) with drone in the other. All the best in the future and stay safe mate...from Down Under.
