Does anyone know a good place to fly a drone in London?
I live in south West London which is a non fly area.

I think you'll find that London is a NFZ totally.
See here for a guide: Home
There are also other maps available on the web that may define the area more clearly.
There are other members on this Forum living in London who will, I expect, join your post and guide you better than I can.
As an aside, You could always fly in your 'living room' !

Well it seems Croydon area is fine to fly.
Thanks for that[emoji106]

I also live in SW London and Richmond park has a drone fly area which is pretty good !

If you google these for locations. Also google park bylaws for your borough?

Cannon Hill Common
Monday to Saturdays Sundays
10:00 - 21:0010:00 - 21:30

Figges Marsh (Mitcham)
Mondays, Wednesday and Friday
18:00 - 21:30

Morden Park
Monday to Saturday Sunday
10:00- 21:0010:00 - 13:00

Three Kings Piece
Tuesdays and Thursdays Sundays Except on the days when the ground is occupied for the purpose of the "Mitcham Fair". Local children's football is played here at weekends, but there are two fields.

I think you can use the fields at the old Croydon Airport as well?

Regards
Rob

Wow, I'm surprised and stand corrected.
How do you deal with the proximity of the prison? Doesn't your MP suffer with DJI's NFZ programming of your UAV?

Scrubs is a massive place and the designated area is near the football pitches so when you fire up your quad the nfz does show up but no where near your permitted to fly

Hi Dapper,
Can I just turn up with my MP or do I need to join a club or organisation?
Thanks

Hi. I don know how to ask a question on the forum, but I have a similar problem. Where to fly my Mavic near Ilford, east London?

There are several 'levels' of what's safe

You've got your NFZ, and the advisory zones.
You might spot a part of London in the south with no shaded NFZ areas on it at all

However in these places you'd still be failing the "built up area" test

Depends on your attitude to risk really, where you fly will determine who can make a case against you and how severely!
