Today's New York Times has a lengthy article about security issues with the DJI Android app. Don't know how concerned I should be about my personal data but apparently the US Government and the military have banned the use of DJI drones altogether because of their concerns. According to the Times, DJI is required to submit all the data they gather on their users to the Chinese government and the app gathers data even when not in use. I have two questions for the communtity:
1. How concerned are you, and how concerned should I be?
2. If I use Litchi rather than DJI Go does that solve or mitigate the problem? Is Litchi also a Chinese app, with the same requirement to turn over all the data they gather?
