Shooting in progress. Unable to switch modes.

So at first blush, it seems like this warning message is obvious. One would expect to get this if you're actively recording video. But I wasn't. I was set to video, not recording, and I tried clicking on the little filmstrip icon to change modes, but that message keeps coming up.

What else might be throwing this warning and preventing me from changing video modes?

Did you try switching to photo (image) mode And then back to video?

Tried that. Didn't help.

So what *did* work was starting recording, and then stopping. Then I was able to change mode.
Methinks that's a bug in the firmware.

I had that when it was still processing a hyperlapse or pano. You are right though, I think I had to do the same thing to get out of it once, I don't recall what I was shooting right before that however. I'll have to pay attention if it happens again.
