Should Flight Records Sync on iPhone When Using Smart Controller?

I'm using a Smart Controller and not my iPhone to control my Mavic 2. The DJI Go 4 app on my iPhone will allow me to download my videos but it will not sync the "Flight Records" with my account/controller (it shows 0 min/0 distance on my iPhone). Is this feature only available on the iPhone if I use it as my primary controller?

When using the Smart Controller I can sync to all my devices but I use Android.

After flight, manually sync SC to DJI’s Cloud at a frequency you desire or when internet connectivity is available, then manually sync your other devices such as iPhone... You will then see current flight information on those sync'd devices.

Sorry for what might appear to be a stupid question but how do I "manually sync SC"? I've looked through all of the menu items and can't find any reference to syncing.

If you have not already done so, connect your SC to a wireless hotspot via the settings menu.

Then, launch the DJI Go app and follow the instructions below.

*Note, this process will be similar for all devices with the DJI Go app.
