small orange arc on start up

I have a mavic air 2 and on start up there is a small orange arc on screen, controller beeps for a little bit. Everything seems normal after take off and drone leaves home point. Any reason this should be.

Is the obstacle avoidance switched on?

If the Air 2 behaves like later models, it's an indication of an obstacle in the direction shown by the orange arc. Try rotating the drone and you should see it move correspondingly.

It's the air avoidance, it's always been that way it's nothing new with any update

Yep, it's the OA.

You may also notice the arc at the bottom of screen at times if it detects something behind it.

If you switch the map view to the attitude indicator, little red squiggly lines may appear in front of or behind the aircraft (triangle) when detecting an obstacle.
