Hi,

I'm preparing myself for the (hopefully immenent) arrival of my MPP (my first drone).

I learnt to fly in gliders, so stick back is up for me and stick forward down. I assume configuring the left stick this way will have no effect on the start-up/take off configuration. (Down & In).

If not my first flight might be embarrassing.

Thanks in advance.

Your RC configuration should have no bearing on the start up/take off.

You should not confound the elevator of your glider with the throttle function of a multicopter. Your glider doesn't have it as long as it has no additional motor. The pitch function of the Mavic corresponds to the elevator.
You can select your preferred stick mode via the GO4 app.

Mode 1:
Left stick is elevator and rudder
Right stick is throttle and ailerons

Mode 2 (set by default):
Left stick is throttle and rudder
Right stick is elevator and ailerons

Mode 3:
Left stick is elevator and ailerons
Right stick is throttle and rudder

Mode 4:
Left stick is throttle and ailerons
Right stick is elevator and rudder

Didn't have a throttle in the glider, it was just back for up (if you had the speed) and forward for down (to get the speed up). Yaw didn't come into it.

Forwards / backwards and sideways are all right stick.
