Struggles but Eventual Success Using Litchi Waypoints for iOS

Pretty epic day just trying to do a basic Litchi Waypoint mission of my condo complex. The construction of the mission is awesome but it took me 17 flights to figure out how to maintain focus on my POI using Litchi (I had zero problems using the same settings in DJI Go but I really need Litchi's superior waypoint functionality to save time on future shoots.

By the time I got the camera to work, the lighting was about as bad as it could be and my editing was hasty but I wanted to share because this is how I solved the Litchi camera focus issues:

1) Disable auto record in Settings
2) Start in FPV mode and take off
3) Tap the screen to focus on a landmark in the distance
4) Once the camera has been focused, start recording
5) Switch to Waypoint mode, load your mission and start it

What distance away can you set a point?

The furthest apart that I've tried is 1.2 km apart. There's no limit on the POI but for waypoints, I assume that limitation is the range of the MP itself.

Only trying once, go 4 would not set a point at around 500 meters.
Guess more points at less distance.

Hmm, here's a successful test I did this morning which was three, 500+m waypoints. Are you sure you're not in a mode that would prevent that distance or is the waypoint tool itself not letting you make two waypoints more than 500m apart?
