2 years ago I went for a first time on Jrebchevo dam to see "submerged" church s. ivan Rilski. It was a cloudy autumn day, but at least was not raining :) and ever since I try to arrange the second visit - but it's some 200+ km away :( yesterday finally I found time and strength to travel - well worth trip (visit successfully some other places - clips to follow :) ) I enjoyed my trip a lot, hope You'll share part of this experience :)
P.S. water is far from the church now but half of the year it's near 2 meter high there

Exactly! But I saw it only on pictures - both my visits, water was some 5-600 meters away ;)

What increases the level of the water ?
Is there a dam (natural or man made) and seasonal rainfall fills it at times ?

We have many old towns underwater in man made dams around Australia.
They are popular with scuba divers to explore !

It's a dam and in the summer and autumn they use water for irrigation I suspect the end of spring level should be highest after snow melts. This dam sinks the whole village and on my next clip it's clearly visible foundations left of many houses
