I woke up this morning to my puppy crying. We are crate training and apparently "Monster" slept long enough and had to go outside.
I dragged myself out of bed after the puppies business was done I noticed the sky was looking very pretty.
The sunrise was happening right now.
Make coffee OR launch the drone take some pictures real quick?
Mmm.. I need coffee
OK let me do it "real quick" since the drone is sitting upstairs ready to go.
No preflight checks! I am burning daylight!
I am new to Litchi and was using Litchi on my Smart Controller as I planned to also set up some waypoints for sunrise shots as needed in the future
About the time I hit the edge of the River near 1500 meters away a stupid window pops up!
"Drone wants to return home. [OK] [Cancel]"
Cancel!

WTF would I want to return home. Stupid new software...

Hey there is a storm coming and a rainbow.
(snaps pictures while flying full speed back home)
I also would have been flying in the rain if the battery was full
Landed with 13% battery
Forgot I was playing with Litchi in the yard, last night, setting up waypoints in flight then editing them in the online mission hub.
Lessons learned: Plan, Pre-flight, look at the weather, don't skip coffee
