syncing flight info

First, thanks to all the experts in this forum that provide the failure analysis. I haven`t had any crashes and hope I will never need your assistance but I do spend quite a bit of time lurking here and the info is great.

I keep reading "syncing flight info" you may lose your data. What or where is this function as i definetly do not want to do it if I do crash so that I may post here. I tried to look it up but my search skills are that of a 2 year old.

It depends on your app, app version and mobile device operating system.

On the DJI GO 4 app it is manual synchronization from the Flight Records page, and on the two most recent iOS versions that deletes the DAT files, leaving just the txt logs. The Android version doesn't do that (yet).

The DJI Fly app allows auto or manual synchronization, and all versions delete the DAT files on sync.

Thanks Sar104. I use the smart controller with the latest DJI go4 app version so it looks like I dont have to worry about it yet. Appreciate the response.
