We've had many a good laugh when one of our members talks about how their drone was "attacked by a tree or a tree jumped out in front of them"…
Well, laugh all you want, I'm laughing… I was flying around my yard, really just putzing, and out of nowhere, this branch came fluttering down from the Maple tree and fell right on top of my Mini 2. I saw it happening, like in "slow motion," perhaps I even screamed in my head, "NO…"
But, luckily, I responded quickly and shut the motors down and let the branch and drone settle onto the ground.
I expected at least some chipped props and hoped that the Gimbal was not damaged.
"Lo 'n behold," no damage, no chipped props, not even a scuff mark as a "battle scar."
I'm laughing at the "Maple War Gods" and Glad to have survived this Battle.
My Mini 2 took the photo, so it's laughing too...
