Nice video, just curious, did the paint add weight to the mini that would make it weigh more than the 249 gms. Also I'm in the New Brunswick area of New Jersey. Where are you in Jersey?

I think the paint would easily make the mini over 250g.
Typically when mixing up auto paints, 3 - 4 drops = a gram.
So, ok for local use with registration, but makes travel harder where sub 250g would be ok.

Very nice! I have custom painted several Phantoms and Inpires over the years.
However, my personal MM will remain as is out of box. Something about that Ultra lite 249g Badge on the side.

As per professor google 8.8oz=249.476gm
Looks like we only added half a gm with the paint..

I guess solvents would be evaporated and make the wet paint weight that much less.

Wonder what a wrap would do ? Suspect that would make one over the magic mark.

Good exercise, as that Krylon looks like it might be heavier than a thin base coat / clear coat.

Hmm, could be a good aftermarket service painting mini as a way to make them more visible, or customised.

pedantic perhaps but the regulations regarding 250 gms expect it to be measured in gms not oz .

Make sure that the paint used does not attack the plastic. ABS is known to be attacked by several types of paints making small cracks that go deep inside plastic. As the result parts will snap under stress.
