As I receive always very helpful information in this forum,
I want to give a small tip about the CrystalSky when traveling.

Last week I drove with my motorcycle along countryside for flying my Mavic. When I found a nice place I took my CrystalSky out and noticed it was on and very hot. I think for more than half an hour, but it did not damage the unit. The message: 'CS too hot....' was also displayed.

My CrystalSky is very sensitive. If I attach the battery it switches on.
So, my advice: For traveling, take off the battery.

My 2 cents

Yes, I notice that as well, even if you shut down the screen/ sleep the unit can be still on and the fan can start and be on.

As you said remove the battery or power off are the best things to do
