So I’ve noticed I can’t really get over 40 miles an hour in sports mode. I’ve heard people saying they’re getting 60 with a tailwind or more. I’ve gone full blast for a long ways with a tailwind and it really doesn’t go over 40 maybe 42 miles an hour. I feel like when there is a tailwind it just uses less power and stays at 40. It does anyone know why?

With no wind, I usually get about 38 mph. With a tail wind, I have gone over 65 mph.

Have you done the latest firmware update? I was just looking on another forum and people have the same issue since the last couple updates.

take the gimble clamp off and gently shake the mavic and notice how freely it moves, now imagine being in a 60 mph wind
thats alot of stress on it.

My top speed was 42mph. 40mph is fun enough.

I've read that the gimbal ribbon cable can be damaged just by normal flying, wouldn't want to stress it further by flying at 60mph.
