Trouble with connecting to iPad Mini 4

I used an Apple cord from the iPad Lightning to the USB port on the controller and I get terrible lag as well as half the screen being green. This does not happen when I use my iPhone 6 Plus. Any Ideas?

That is very odd, I use a iPad mini 4. Try deleting app and reinstalling also reset iPad and try different lightning cable. Hope this fixes your problem

So thanks for the help guys, rebooting the iPad worked, no more issue. I don't know why I didn't think of that, guess I was just excited
