Turn off Bluetooth & WiFi?

I usually get the map pulled up on my phone and then put it into airplane mode. Doing this helps with battery life and helps with interference to some small degree. You don’t HAVE to though.

I turn off unnecessary stuff as well, it helps conserve phone battery. I never thought of using airplane mode but that makes sense, I got a call once while flying and it caused some mild panic.

i always use airplane mode, nothing worse than a netflix popup when you're navigating a tight spot.

I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. I don’t want to crash. My wife would castrate me with a dull deer antler if I bought another Mavic.

I am looking for input on this; If I am flying in a zone where I need to get a waiver (blue restriction) I need to have the phone in normal mode to get the authorization, and then can I put it into airplane mode? thoughts? experience?
