If the battery firmware needs to be updated, that will only update the firmware on the battery that's currently installed in the Mavic. For additional batteries, you'll need to update them from DJI GO when you see the "Inconsistent Firmware Found" prompt (like this).

i was told sometime ago that when you buy a new battery you have to go to the assistant 2 and update or refresh the firmware with the drone and remote turned on and this must be done for each new battery,is that wrong?

I successfully updated my pro and Controller but never got messages for updating the batteries, even after swapping to the extra two batteries - is that normal?

I just did yesterday, by connecting one by one, once the Mavic is on, the app detects the battery needs a new firmware, I did it with 3 batteries :)

Yes it will, did mine yesterday, takes about 30 mins for the initial update then less time each time you change to a battery that hasn't been updated

Hey All,
Do I have to update batteries on Mavic Pro? If yes, how do I do that?

On the latest M2 firmware update that came out last week, wasn't asked to update any of my spare batteries. I was expecting it would.

You might want to touch the green or blue banner in the first page of the dji go 4 app or give it a few minutes maybe your wifi isn't up to speed or running slow ?

Yes. Mine are from DJI and DJI branded official resellers. Couldn’t fly today, but yesterday none of my 6 batteries asked for updating. So that’s why I was wondering.
take alook at your batteries and see if the discharge time has changed it use to be 10 days but you can now change it

If you did the update correctly then the battery that was in your drone while you were doing the update will have changed the battery discharge cycle from 10 days to 5 but will allow you to change that as well

Hi
Not sure if this is right thread for my issues.
I charged batteries on my Pro to full charge a while ago ( few months) , but did not fly.
Yesterday , 2 of my 3 batteries had Battery Error with unbalanced cells. My AC and controller is up to date with firmware.
Are those 2 batteries now done? Thank you
Could you guide to some fix if possible?
