Variation in speed with different equipment on my M2P

Many mavic pilots refrain from Pontooner and PropsGards as they think the speed is being reduced too much.

I have now piloted three of my flight standards under different circumstances.
All three were done in P-Mode with my M2P.

1st
Normal flight, with my landinggears
2nd
Flight with PropsGard
3rd
Flight with Pontooner

I flew twice a distance of 300 m (984 f), the same distance back.
A total of about 1200 m (3937 f).
Repeated the same flight distance for the three different equipment.

Weathered overcast but insignificant wind.

As shown in the table I have compiled,
the deviation in speed is around 2 m / s (6 f / s),
ie completely negligible under normal conditions.

Excellent test! Thx for posting.
Suspect that a significant wind might modify.

What about battery usage. It must have to work harder- as P mode attempts to stabilise speed at 50kph. If it can’t quite reach that number, it must be working hard the whole time?

The wind will certainly have the greatest impact on the speed of flight with extra equipment on, but here it is probably the safety aspects that have to weigh heavier.

When I fly in T-Mode and the wind is about 10 m / s (36 kilometers / h, 19.4 knots, 22.4 miles / h,32.8 feet / s 600 m / m, 1969.5 feet / m, Beaufort 5), then the drone is more or less at stand still and I have to switch to P-Mode.

So more power is required from the battery which results in shorter flight time.
