What video format are you using MP4 or MOV and do you have a PC or Mac?

They are essentially just containers, same video stream inside and you can rename the extension after the fact. However just use .MP4 as more packages can open that directly without having to rename it.

PC, MP4. There isn't a reason to use MOV unless you use 10-year old software.

That's so true, I use a high end iMAC and use MP4 most of the time for program compatibility. My preferred format is HDMKV or X265 HEVC.
