Why is leagal topics and modifications squashed?

Why was my post on modifying the manufactures (DJI) software via the manufacture's(DJI) supplied tool used to modify their software (DJI assistant). The software is supplied by the manufacture to allow you to modify the parameters. If they didn't want you to mod the software, why did they allow it? How is this bad or hacking? It IS supplied by the manufacture to allow you to do this. DJI would not allow you to mod the software if they did not want you to. The assistant's purpose to to allow this.

How is removing a height restriction unsafe? Is there a law we are breaking by going up 1,500 feet? No, not in the US. Thus, who uses their opinion on what is safe and unsafe when there is no legal basis for it?

A couple of points to make clear...

• we do not have any affiliation with DJI or any other consumer RC aircraft maker
• we are not telling anyone what to do with their RC aircraft, the choice is yours
• all post about hacks or manipulation of the software/firmware will be deleted without notice
