it's probably too much to hope for but with the Plus battery 'available' for the Mini 3 has anybody heard about any plans DJI might have for an Air 2S plus battery? That 47 min flight time is pretty appealing

or is it not feasible?

It would seem unlikely that DJI at this time would go into new product accessories for a “lower margin legacy drone”. It appears that they will make WAY more profit on the Mini 3 and wouldn’t want to disturb those sales. The Air2s seems like a bargain now and always was. Perhaps the plus battery will be available on the next iteration of the air series, possibly in the price point of where the Mavic 2 used to be as the Mavic 3 is priced up there quite a bit.

They already did... the 2022 batteries are 3750mA, the 2021 are 3500mA. :)

I would upgrade if they offered a significant mah upgrade but I doubt they will

If you can find the 3750 anyplace, I would be interested. When I looked a few months ago, I could only find the 3500. When I contacted DJI, they said they were not selling them yet.
Bought an Air 2 S Combo three months ago. Just looked at the batteries. Seem to be 3750.

They have 2 batteries for the Mini 3 Pro because they needed lighter one to stay under 249g. Since the Air 2/2S isn't coming anywhere close to that, there was no need for a light one. We've got the "Plus" version to begin with.

As noted in other threads, the 3750 doesn't really give you any significant extra power as it is done at less voltage.

Well... I found 3 of them.

I have the new cells used in the mini 3 plus battery.

they use copper as the catalyst and have a different chemistry from the previous cells used by dji.

if I replace the current cells used in the air 2 battery with the new 3850mah 11.07v battery and reprogram the bms, I get roughly 36-38min flight time. I need more bms boards because I fried a few, but I think a 3s2p pack of the new cells would easily provide +50min of flight time without increasing the weight too much.

Ok, you've peaked my interest. Pictures please and a bit more detail? Thanks!
