Will wrong firmware install?

Hi, not used my Mavic Pro for a while so I lent it to my son. He connected through Go4 app but thinks he entered using Mavic 2 instead of mavic pro. I'm just wondering how the Mavic Pro connected when you selected Mavic 2. Usually, whenever you select the wrong drone, it won't connect. Either way, it'll probably reach an error and stop downloading or say download failed.

@Rockbyter as far as the APP is concerned an update to the APP is not model specific it covers any model that the GO4 APP uses so let the App update and when you go on the APP with the RC and drone connected it will either ask you for the model or it will automatically select the one you have
