Is it important or absolutely necessary to loosen the stick when flying manual mode? I haven’t flown manual mode yet and trying to do my research before doing so. If I do loosen the stick then do I have to retighten the stick when flying normal or sports model every time?

Do you turn on screen recording on your mobile devices connected to the drone every time you fly in case something goes wrong. I know flight data is being recorded to the mobile device but is it a good idea to take the extra step to start the screen recording?

Ok to further explain and diagnose the issue... The iphone was never connected to the remote controller. I powered on the drone and powered on the remote. once connected i used the remote controller to lift the drone off the floor. Correct me if im wrong but don't you need the iphone to...

Yup. i was never planning to use the drone outside without connecting to a phone. The reason I was hover without the connecting to phone indoor was to quickly test the propellers to make sure i attached securely. strange that it would move on its own though and try to go up.
