Thanks for the reply, David. While the wife will probably spend more time there than me (looking for that Florida residency status), I hope to spend several long weekends there until I retire in a couple years. I will follow you posts and look forward to the April video compilation.
Nice footage, David. We just bought a place on Island Estates and are in the process of renovating with a finish target of July 3rd. We are going down for the long 4th weekend and I plan to fly while there. You've given me some inspiration.
Glad you found it before I got a chance to respond. I've had to do it a couple times and I'm not sure why it keeps cropping up. Of course, tilt can be fixed in post production, but I hate to loose any of the frame to fix it in post.
jah, you're a good person for digging so hard to find the owner. Based on the GPS and video, likely a visitor from abroad.
We all wish you good luck, and thank you!
I was searching Craigslist in Louisville and saw a note posted mid-day Monday about a found Mavic Pro near Linn Station Road (near I-64 and Hurstbourne Pkwy). The poster said to "send me your photo and I will validate ownership from photos on memory card". The poster didn't leave a number but...
Mike, excellent footage! We just returned from a trip to Europe last week with a night in Reykjavik on the way home. We toured around the south in a rental car and visited several waterfalls. I wish I had taken the MP, but there were restrictions on the cruise ship banning drones.
Your video...
I've flown there a few times with no problem. I believe it is generally just National Parks that have the restriction. National Recreation areas; RRG, Big South Fork are not restricted.
State Parks in Kentucky are generally cool. I've flown at Cumberland Falls, Dale Hollow, KY Dam Village...
My first drone encounter was on a beach with a professional pilot/photographer. I watched and patiently waited for him to land and start to dismantle his kit. When I approached him, I asked if he had a few minutes to answer some questions I had about his MP. He was most gracious and helpful and...
Caddies are not prevalent in the US either. I've been on a few sites that said "caddies required". I've used them a few times and it was a great experience, like a barber shave, but not something I would want to do every time out.
Thanks for the Edinburgh tips and links to the booking sites. You...
Thanks for the info & links, Dylanjibmonkey! I know what I'm getting into with the weather. I'd love to visit Portugal (& Spain) eventually. We're actually staying 4 nights in Edinburgh before spending Wed & Th at the Open Championship. Do I need to contact the course pro in advance to...
I'm celebrating a landmark birthday this year and planning to be at the Open Championship in mid-July with my wife. As part of the trip I hope to find a few "hidden-gem" golf courses to play. I don't feel compelled to play the Rota courses. I' really looking for a Shivas Irons experience. Our...
I've flown Alegiant a few times and it is ALWAYS a crap shoot. They cancel frequently (not enough passengers), nickle & dime you for everything, have a screwy carry on policy. But, they're cheap as hell.
Southwest, on the other hand, loves my golf clubs, snow skis and drone. I fly them every...
