Yes it is! At least that parabolic model. Is useful to minimize interference in flight in populated areas or cities with high density of WiFi equipment ... in terms of increasing distance. Mmmm .. not much help.
Batteries don't store the NFZ Settings.. only a non reversible Flag that lets the device know that the .800 firmware update has already been implemented throughout the drone's lifetime. You can't use old batteries to bypass the firmware recognition software, if you try to do that... you'll...
The battery stores in its memory if the DJI NFZ regulations were accepted when you upgraded the firmware, that is the reason you can't revert NFZ after upgrading to .0800..
Any intent to downgrade to the previous firmware is futil. The battery can't be reverted to the previous firmware update.
I have same problem.. every photo I take with my Mavic are blurry... but Video is Ok... I reset my camera several times... ¿what do you think is bad software or hardware?
Only you must wait for the message "home point is updated'... to show up or try to set it up manually. In my case... i must wait 2 minutes to adquire 10 sat... perhaps now mavic needs to obtain the location coordinates to contrast with the NFZ maps dowloaded in the last update.
I have now the latest version.
The first thing I noticed is that it has errors to update the flight records ... another problem is that I flew only 10 minutes after updating the app and it seems that the drone has lost stability.
Additionally it takes about 3 to 4 minutes for the NFZ message...
I think the best accessory that DJI could create and sell for the Mavic is a solar power bank that can adhere to the top of the drone to provide greater autonomy of flight time (slow the discharge of the battery in flight)
