I didn’t take my MP to Oahu... not my favorite island though. I did take it to Kauai and found plenty of places to fly and get cool pictures.
If you are going on a chartered whale watching trip, I wouldn’t plan on flying from the boat. You will be in constant motion and it’s very unlikely that...
Have you walked your flight path as others have suggested?
Certainly you were out of VLOS... but somewhere in the trees of your flight path is probably where you will find your Mavic.
Thanks! I’m playing with the idea of taking a class, getting certified, and maybe trying my hand at using this as a minor side hustle, but am wondering what other benefits (ie what restrictions are different) I may be able to access with the certification/license.
I appreciate you taking the...
So are there benefits to having a 107 license for hobbyists over just flying as a hobbyist?
I’m interested in using the Mavic as a soft side hustle... don’t have the energy to start a full on gig, but are there other things having this will allow me to do besides bill for flying?

So I'm on vacation in Hawaii and seem to have lost the cord that plugs from the wall into my Mavic Pro Platinum charger. I presume that is a common cord from my recollection of it... any tips on where I might be able to grab a replacement? I'm on the Hawaiian island of Kauai...

Any cool places to fly? I don’t know if it’s worth it to take it with me or not. Especially if there aren’t many places I can fly without getting people mad. :-) if it’s more of a hassle, I’ll just leave it...
I may or may not have flown about a mile from my physical location. The only time Ive ever had a problem is when I was over my friends horses and wanted to get a little closer for a good pic. There were several metal buildings between me and the drone. Lost signal and it went into RTH mode. No...
