    My first DJI...January 2015

I got my first drone 10 years ago - in 2014. It was a Phantom 2, and to get better quality photos I had a Sony RX100 1" sensor camera mounted on it. I had a monitor with camera view on the RC, and I could tilt the camera up and down 90 degrees. I could fire the shutter remotely, and a servo...

You need to be registered as a drone operator in an EU country or Norway. You should register in the first country where you plan to operate. For Norway, you can register at Norwegian website flydrone.no (they have an English version). This is also valid for sub-250g drones that has a camera...

    AUTOPANO GIGA as 'free-ware'

Thanks for the info. I know of two good panorama freeware apps, the Autopano Giga as you mention, and the old but excellent Microsoft Image Composite Editor (called ICE). It can be downloaded here: https://archive.org/compress/ice-2.0.3-for-64-bit-windows I haven't tried it on Win 11, but it...

Air 3 Interesting farming machinery at work in beautiful rural Derbyshire UK

Interesting video that triggered my agricultural interest :) Good flying and nice music . It looks like there is a nuclear power plant in the background, is that correct?

    Blurry Photo?

The photos are shot in 16:9 aspect ratio, that is why they are 15 MP. I look at the images on a large high quality monitor and I can not see any sign of pixelation. The photo of the animals are shot at f/2.8, that is why it looks slightly softer off-center than the other photo, which is shot at...

    Blurry Photo?

I agree with Meta4, these images do not look blurry at all. You do know that the camera does not apply sharpening to RAW images, so they seem a bit softer than JPG-photos?

    DJI getting banned?

What does American Telcom towers have to do with GPS? Drones get their GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou) signals directly from the sattelites.

    Update home point & calibration?

The home point is automatically updated when the GPS in the drone has good enough sattellite reception and knows where it is located. You can change the homepoint during flight, but you need to be aware of what that means. As for calibrating the compass, you very rarely have to do it. If you get...

Mini 4 Fight flight through An Asian City

You probably think of DJI Aeroscope, a drone detection system launched in 2017. They sold a lot of it (very expensive) to law enforcement, airports and military. I think they have stopped making them now. Here is a quote from DJI: "Every DJI drone continuously transmits a radio signal encoded...

Mini 4 Fight flight through An Asian City

The Norwegian Aviation Authorities will not reveal what system they use to detect drones. Every major airport (and many smaller ones) has a detection system, which is connected to a central communication center located in the main airport close to Oslo. I saw a photo of this center, all the...

Help.... issues with my mavic pro zoom.

The micro-USB charge port connector is a weak point on these controllers. But if you are a little handy it is not difficult to repair it yourself - it does require some soldering, though. There are several good videos on youtube describing the process. As said in post 7, use the larger USB-A...
