Thanks for the response, it appears this needs to run as a local application from either Windows or a Mac and not natively as an iPhone application or a web page. Do you know of any processes that can do the same thing as web pages or as an iPhone app?
I used to use a website 360facebook.com to take the pano/sphere image and convert it for posting on Facebook, but the page seems to have been hacked or changed as the entire page is in what appears to be chinese and clearly isn't normal (refer to screenshot)
Is there a different way to do this...
I’ve always wondered the same thing. It would be so much natural to just point where you want the drone to go and it handles turn bank and whatever’s needed + this would avoid the confusion when the drone is turned away or backwards and determine which why is which would be avoided.

You don’t need to stitch it together if al you want to do is place it on Facebook. Simply copy the Pano from DJI app to your phone and then upload it to How to make 360 degree photo for facebook this will then format it correctly for full 360 interaction. Saves even more time.

I have the most current DJI GO4 app version 4.1.18 and it says Pano will be available with firmware version 01.04.0001 or higher. I’m on version 01.04.0000 and checked for an upgrade and nothing’s showing up. Did DJI make the new firmware available yet or have they pulled it.
As an update to my original post. Now running IOS 11.1.2 and DJI Go 4.1.18 on my 6 plus and everything is working correctly. Now just waiting for the Pano feature
