I would take the opposite view here and write to them asking for confirmation of where designated areas are. Once you have that in writing the law is on your side.

The Ridgeway in Oxfordshire is my preferred place to fly. Flown at all times of the day there and never been bothered by anyone.

I had a similar situation when I first started and whilst it is frustrating, it makes sense to change all four propellers. Spending £18 seemed better than it falling out of the sky and then having a bill of thousands for repair.
