For info purposes just travels into moscow (russia) an out of russia into riga(latvia) with the mavic pro. They didnt even took a look at the mavic. I walked right true security whitout having to open my back or show anything.
Due to winds an snow I didnt fly much. but flying in center moscow...

So nothing else then heresay....
Why treat lipo's for a drone any other then the lipo in a macbook.
Not trying to attack you on it but if we start making rules for ourself we just make this hobby more difficult for our self.
An where will we stop? The rules state ...

if so it would mean that a fully charged macbook is also not allowed.....
as for as my knowledge goes of lipo...

But in my case i must say schiphol(amsterdam) always want to see every inch of my bag an every piece of electronic separately every singel time...
Last week had flight to brasil from Amsterdam an two flights within brasil. Only in Amsterdam I had to take everything out an show every single thing an explain. I brasil they didnt look twice.
Travel with the mavic in carry on an lipos stored in lipo bag.
Most times I hand take off an land is just much easier then finding a nice flat spot with no dirt or other obstructions plus I don't realy like how close to the ground everything on the mavic is. I know you can buy extended landing gear but that ruins the portablety of the mavic pro
