    Tello on a cruise ship??

I'd say you were very lucky. Taking it on a line that explicitly forbids them on board at all is clearly a gamble. Just one more thing to think of when booking a cruise with a particular line.

    Tello on a cruise ship??

That is exactly right. If you don't have permission to bring it on board, they will find it on scanning your luggage or carry on. And there will then be more trouble than it is worth. Confiscation as the least that can happen. There are some lines that permit a drone when stored at the desk to...

    Flying from a cruise ship

It might be useful to document which cruise lines allow, and which do not allow drones on board. AFAIK, none allow flying on board. I have taken my drone aboard a Ponant lines ship to Iceland provided I kept it stored at the front desk unless I was taking it ashore. I have been totally denied...

    Alas "No drones allowed"

I, too just got back from a wonderful week in Iceland. I obeyed all the "No Drone" signs and still found plenty to photograph. In fact, I found the signs to be very useful: if I did not see one I assumed it was legal. I still avoided places/times of day that were crowded. I had one person...

    Global rules and guideline article

I did not take it to Egypt. I read somewhere that they are totally banned in Egypt due to the potential of using it as a bomber. I saw none being flown there either. It was a wonderful trip. We felt perfectly safe, and were well cared for. The populace seemed very friendly.

No Drones Allowed in National Parks

I certainly agree that some control is needed. An absolute ban seems overkill. For example, they could restrict the number of flyers by requiring registration, and limiting the number by place and time planning to fly. They could restrict flying to times and places where few people congregate...

Am I allowed to carry the drone with me on an international flight?

I have flown with batteries and Mavic in carry on in the US without trouble. I have inquired about Egypt and Jordan, and was advised by their consulates that prior certification from their aviation authorities is needed and that without that there is a risk of confiscation at customs.

    Mavic Pro with Bombs

The discussions on the original posting on Live leak points out some reasons to believe the bomb drop is fake. The explosion is not. The appearance of a second drone at seconds 33-35 suggests this might have been a training exercise filmed by 2 or more drones with an explosion triggered by rifle...

    Global rules and guideline article

Anybody know what the rules are in Egypt and Jordan? We will be travelling there shortly and I would like to take my Mavic along, but am a bit hesitant

    Litchi on second device.Warning.

Is there anyone here who has successfully downloaded twice to two different devices from the Android store? There are statements that it should work, but nobody has said they successfully did it.

    Do's and Don'ts ...mainly DON'T

I would more likely blame formatting the card while in flight. I simply never do that. I land first. And when I fly indoors, and find the sensors to be very valuable in maintaining stability.

I am using a Galaxy tab A 7.0 SM-T280 flying the Mavic pro. I am getting disconnected every few seco

I am having similar problems, I think. I am using a Motorola cell phone. When moving the gimbal or turning the Mavic the image on the phone breaks up. and the phone based controls seem a bit flaky. Control with the controller seems not to be a problem. The resultant video on the memory card does...

Expectations from DJI at CES 2017

Brought my mavic to CES booth because of minor problem. They flew it in the cage, where it performed perfectly. They suggested some local conditions at my home that may have interfered intermittently with the video signal, and were correct. They were very helpful and friendly. First rate bunch!

    Anyone flying in Las Vegas??

Ordered my Mavic on Nov. 4. Received it December 23. The Mavic replaces a Phantom 1 which I have been flying since the beginning. I will be in Vegas Jan 5-8, attending CES. I'd love to spend half a day flying my Mavic. Would appreciate suggestions on where to fly legally and safely. Calico basin...
