I live on my sailboat, and since it's always moving and is basically a Faraday Cage, I've done ot off-site. I've calibrated in various places; the most succesful has actually been inside a public library. It went several weeks without requiring another calibration.
My Mini 2 has started demanding IMU calibrations every two or three flights. Sometimes, I can restart everything and fly normally. Other times, I won't start the motors until the calibration is completed. Otherwise, my flights are normal. Anyone else experience this? Is this an indication of the...
UPDATE: had a successful 20 minute flight last night with zero gimbal issues. Gently manipulating the gimbal/camera by hand before powering up the drone, keeping the drone pointed downward while powering up, and then doing a gimbal calibration prior to flight seemed to do the trick.
Preface: I didn't read all of the posts/responses in this thread. That said, to answer the OP's original question - there is no understanding of these things.
When I worked as a maritime accident investigator, investigating accidents involving ships, yachts, commercial fishing boats, etc., one...
Thanks - fortunately, there are no visible obstructions.
However, I discovered something of which I was previously unaware: if I hold the drone vertically, with the camera pointing up, the gimbal 'drifts' down into the body/frame of the drone. This happened this morning when I was re-testing my...
Hello folks -
I just did a firmware update for my Mini 2 (I think it's update 01.07. 0200 but the drone isn't with me at the moment) and am having some issues with the gimbal. The problems 'seem' random and happen on start-up as well as in flight. I get the 'Gimbal Stuck' message as well as the...
Switch over is done and was relatively seamless. The issues I did have were not with DJI, but other apps, all of which are resolved now.
I won't be transferring to Windows based machines, so that's not a concern.
And, I live on my sailboat and move between temperate and tropical climate...
Lol...I use an iPad Pro, and have worked on a Mac Laptop for years; the Android phone was primarily my 'work phone.' But as I'm newly 'retired,' the switch seems to makes sense.
Hi everyone,
I will be, (in all likelihood), switching from an Android device to an iOS device in the next week or so. I'm curious as to whether or not I should be aware of any hiccups in the DJI Fly App moving from Android to iOS via the 'Move to iOS App.'
In the interest of clarity - this is...
I try to avoid being close to any NFZ. In my current location, there are three very close by - one military, one a state park, and the third, a National Park.
I've seen (on YouTube) and read (various places) of a huge range of bad things that can happen when the Mini 2 enters a NFZ during flight; everything from going into RTH automatically, to repeated disconnects with loss of control, to a fly-away, with the little Mini 2 never to be seen again...
