I keep my MP 1 in airplane mode, so it doesn't communicate on the internet. I don't want DJI to keep track of my flying. I am reluctant to do update to keep DJI from instituting any restrictions to my flying.

I've had a few low battery temp warnings on my MP Pro when flying in cold weather. I'm thinking that using a chemical hand warmer taped to the battery would solve that problem for prolonged flight time. I often use this AC to photograph sunsets, having it hover for 15 min or more as the sunset...

I have used my Mavic Pro since they first came out. They make great photos and video and ,especially useful is the ability to make vertical photos which are great for making panorama photos. None of the other models have that function.

I haven't noticed it , even pointing straight down. Easy enough to check - try that location and see for yourself, if it does then go to another location.

I velcro'ed a cree strobe on the front underside behind the camera gimbal. helps me spot it in the distance

I got one of these since my micro usb port was getting iffy (poor design, hard to tell which way to insert the plug) works well but power only no data. Works as good insurance against breaking the port.

I'm referring to the Mavic Pro, it's also difficult to insert the card since there is some play in the card slot.

What drives me crazy is when you push it in to eject it and it flies out and onto the floor - where finding it is a PITA

I try to keep VLOS, but poor eyesight means that I can lose sight of it at longer distances. I have 2 white Strobes on the underside which helps, though bright sun negates their usefulness. When I do lose sight I'll point the camera down to get my bearings and if that doesn't work I hit the RTH...

I've had a similar good experience with DJI service. My MP crashed as I was bringing it in for a manual landing under some trees when suddenly at about 5 ft. altitude it shot straight up and tangled with the branches and crashed hard, damaging the gimbal. I don't know why it happened, I thought...
