Another thought... I have experienced something similar if my next waypoint is too close too the previous one. At least for me, it helped to enlarge the map then try again. So sorry you are experiencing this frustration.
I see two waypoint icons on your map. But what you are explaining with additional non-posting icons sure sounds glitchy. I am sure you have already tried the usual re-booting, deleting and re-downloading of the firmware fixes?
I am not sure I understand...
"Waypoint icons appear in the waypoint setup, but NOT on the map itself"
When you call up a saved waypoint mission, I BELIEVE that is the only map you get. After you hit the green GO button the drone triangle proceeds from waypoint to waypoint and you see it in...
I was able to plan out my waypoints and adjust each waypoint's settings by tapping on the map without my M3 powered up. I was also able to save my mission on the fly app without my M3 powered up. But adding a POI required my M3 to be powered up. The POI did save just fine with the waypoint...
What an unexpected holiday gift! I downloaded v1.9 and flew 4 waypoint flights this afternoon and everything is working flawlessly. Waypoints has got to be a pretty complex piece of programming. Again, what a nice surprise. Bravo DJI.
$1,599 is a great price for this bird. That said, I have grow very fond of the 28x zoom on my original Mavic 3. I used it yesterday to spot a missing calf in some heavy brush on our farm!
So sorry for the loss of your drone and that you and your family had to experience this childish behavior. Here's hoping you were able to provide some good leads to law enforcement as to the identity of the knucklehead with the gun - and that you have an opportunity to file charges.
I flew my Mavic 3 several times over the recent holiday weekend. Because of the higher than usual July 4th commercial traffic my Airsense map looked like an air traffic controller's monitor! I was receiving transponder signal from commercial jets as far away as 100,000 ft distance (19.2 miles)...
If you haven't already, make sure to calibrate your compass with the phone attached to your remote controller and both phone and RC powered up. The problem is usually RC interference with your phone's compass. This should fix your problem.
You are right. The Cliffs of Mother are one of the most spectacular sights in Ireland. Pure speculation on my part, but with all the Puffins nesting on the cliffs and flying about, I would suspect drone flight is quite frowned upon.
Now that recent firmware updates have returned Airsense to my Mavic 3 (thank you DJI), I have noticed manned aircraft distance readings of up to 100,000 ft (18.9mi) and altitude readings in excess of 38,000 ft (7.2 miles). There is a lot of commercial traffic in the skies right now due to the...
Excellent videography and perfect choice of music - well done! We visited the highlands several years ago and treasure our photos of the mountains, streams, clouds, ocean, old castles, distilleries and gardens. What a beautiful country.
You quick shot of the left hand driving did evoke a bit...
Came across this short poem today, quite by accident. It seems especially suited for a new drone pilot....
There is freedom
Waiting for you,
On the breezes
of the sky,
And you ask,
"What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling,
What if you fly?
