Is that how you start your drones, hold 2nd press until startup? Never tried that before on my 15 DJI drones. Also my 2 presses are in quick succession, very little pause between. Again, good luck and hope he solves it.

Amazing tech, sure beats using planes or helos. Ag pilots might not agree though.

Could be a weak tilt motor that's affected by winds since it's intermittent. Worth replacing from your donor drone.

Just a reminder that the second press is a long press but not a press and hold. 1st press 1 sec, 2nd press 2 sec, then wait for startup routine. Good luck

Appears that there's still water inside shorting out a contact, opening the drone to continue the drying procedure may be required. Check youtube videos for how-to. The wet battery cannot be saved.

It's too bad the iPad mini 4 won't run the FLY app. But I still use mine with GO4 and my Phantoms.

What a change since I was there in the 70s. Miss the Florida of my youth, new 6 lane highways were dirt roads back then. No highrises either. Good old days.

I've replaced several broken gimble cables on crashed drones and none appeared damaged to the eye. The wires themselves are very thin and break internally, even from hard landings. DIY repairs do require a bit of guessing, often upping the cost. Less guessing required after gaining experience.

Sadly, Skydio started this mess but has decided to end consumer drone models. They’re making a fortune replacing DJI for gov uses, fed, state, and local. It’s into the millions just in my Tampa Bay area. Sheer madness from our elected officials. Don’t forget to vote.

Other options, like phone connection, won’t happen as it would be too easy to violate BVLOS. Would require an additional line but probably worth it for professionals.

Looks like the gimble cable broke in crash, it’s common. Don’t know if that effects imu or not. Hope you enjoy using tools, can be fun fixing your own drone. But, as many have found it’s not always cheaper than having it fixed by pros.

Altitude can make a big difference and winds can be much higher at 400' than 100'. If your drone struggles, bring it closer to ground level to gain speed and save battery juice.

Would like to see the view from the water side. Gotta get up there somehow.
