What I was try to say is what is available now is tremendously capable. If you can use all the available features you are going well. No matter what the new products are some folk are never happy.
You can see indications on the surface of the water that you had a tailwind. Any water, (dams, rivers) trees, cattle or sheep will tell you what the direction and how strong the wind is.
There is something missing with the released footage. The vid shows the prop spooling down after the fighter dumped fuel or whatever it did then in another vid one of the blades with a hook in it. If struck with an aircraft I can't see how an impact would hook the blade with it still turning...
I have flown off both aluminium and steel bodied cars with no issue with my Mavic 3. I used to have a Mavic Air and that wouldn't take of unless it was calibrated every flight before take off, never tried to take off a vehicle with it.
Been a while since I've flown, had a Mavic Air and just replaced it with a Mavic 3. Images seem sharper with the performance way better than the Air. Biggest difference I've found is the flight time, way longer with more range. Some early morning pics. The black and white images seem to define...

Wasn't my idea, I was up alone and they came to me. They flew passed me about 5 times from either direction then departed of to hoon somewhere else.
I would not fly into a mob of birds by choice, more for the birds well being than the drone.
