I was watching one of my videos from my mini 4 pro on a friends computer. What amazed me was that while I was viewing it, in the bottom of the screen it had all the meta stuff I've always wanted on a viewer. Stuff like ISO, F Stop, Shutter speed etc. I asked what the viewer was and he said...
I parked at the Casino Queen 4 years ago and took off across the Mississippi and flew the arch legally. But since that time, they've made that whole area a no fly zone. Glad I got my drone flight in when I did.
Interesting about Palouse Falls. I shot it last summer. Pretty easy to do as you just have to walk across the railroad tracks and you are out of the State park, but you can still have VLOS of the falls.
Interesting on looking at the Remote Controlled Aircraft Permit form that you posted.
The use of remote controlled aircraft is regulated within State Parks by WAC 352-32-130 (5) and WAC 352.37.170 (3), which allows for the flying of remote controlled aircraft with written permission of the...
I was looking at flying my drone at a remote site in the state of Washington. BTW, no planes/helicopters/lifeflights/airiports flying anywhere near here and this was posted. I'm sure some of you have seen these before, and our forum has the question posted which is, can they regulate us if we...
Oops. You are correct, well almost. Yes, I didn't have it set to the max, but in this case, I could only climb 1000' or so as I did NOT have the max set in Litchi. So it went up about 1000' above the Columbia, but then it stopped, thankfully as I hadn't allowed for those Doug Firs.

That's actually what I discovered. It made no difference where I created the route (on my computer at the office Omaha, NE) and then flew the mission (on the North side of the Columbia River along the Broughton log chute). The MP uploaded my route, and took off on my great series of waypoints...
Thanks. I've been using Litchi and Mission Hub almost exclusively since my Phantom 3 and didn't know about the Control Click in Mission Hub. I was manually changing them all after I had created them and realized I wanted them to all be higher or lower. Or, I would wait until I downloaded it...
Yes I find that if I can't do it in Litchi, I'm just not interested. But I have done a lot of ad hoc flights using the Litchi app on the phone, draw with my finger the route, and then make some minor corrections and fly. Works neat.
Probably 4 + years ago when I had my first Mavic I realized that you couldn't take off and land at the Arch in St. Louis. But you could go over to East St. Louis and launch at the casino and fly across the Mississippi to the arch, so I did it. Now they've included a No Fly Zone to include the...
Well all that sounds great, and it might work - IF we had a drone with say 1-2hours of battery life. By my calculations to get to Yosemite Valley outside the Valley - say maybe El Portal - would be about 15+ miles and that would take you about an hour to get there, and then of course you have...
Well specifically one of the places I want to fly - legally - is in the area of Promontory Point Utah. Not at the actual monument, but about 1-2 miles before you get there is a place called the Big Fill and then going across the road to an area where the Union Pacific and Central Pacific had...
