Went with a iPAD mini 2, no cellular. I use a Bluetooth gps for my location. The iPad minis aren’t that bright in the sun. You will likely need a sun shade.

I don't think the OP is suggesting that DJI should assist someone in finding a lost drone, but rather rendering the drone useless to someone who either found it or stole it. On the surface that sounds good, if there were no glitches. There would be glitches.

You can fly in all national forests, however you can’t fly in wilderness ares within a national forest. You also cannot fly in designated campgrounds.
