Right, just found the FAQ for the RC 2: DJI - Official Website. The penultimate item reads: "Currently, DJI RC 2 is only compatible with DJI Air 3. More compatible models are subject to future updates. Check the DJI official website for further updates and information."

Hoping you are right! I would enjoy having better signal after 1.5 kms (~1 mile) as the original DJI RC starts to struggle at that point.

The question is: will it work with older drones like the original Mavic 3?

There is always something better around the corner, so stressing about what future models will (or will not) have is pretty pointless. I am sure the Air 3 will be an amazing product that many will enjoy. 🙃

Bought them from the official DJI dealer in Romania, so there is a very small chance that they are fake. Only the black props have strange waves on them… Shame, but I am sending them back and will stick with the normal props.

Someone mentioned this issue with their M3P: GPS disconnects constantly with Mavic 3 Pro.

That is not good. My standard Mavic 3 is also rock solid during these shots. I did a 25-min timelapse few weeks ago and it was ridiculously good. Someone else mentioned in a different thread a potential issue regarding the loss of GPS during flight. Maybe this happened here as well…
