    New Mini 2, V1.4.12 .. no 5.8GHz channels??

I messed around enough that I got it working. Posting what I did in case someone else has a similar issue. What finally worked was deleting the DJI Fly app and getting a old version. I tried several, anything older than V1.3 would not install properly. What I got to work was installing v...

    New Mini 2, V1.4.12 .. no 5.8GHz channels??

Yes, it is weird. I have tried two different android devices, my phone (S10) and a samsung tablet. both show the same thing. The top is the streaming settings and then it shows the "channel mode", the whole frequency setting is missing. Thinking it was my brand new drone, I exchanged it...

    New Mini 2, V1.4.12 .. no 5.8GHz channels??

Hi all, new Mini 2 owner here (had mavic previously) .. Running 1.4.12, normal setup out of the box with updating firmware, etc. One issue I am seeing is that under "Transmission" in the app, I don't get any option to select 2.4Ghz or 5.8GHz when selecting Manual. The frequencies shown when I...

Mavic Pro: why DJI doesn't fix this huge flickering/compression problem?

Castyn ... not sure what setting you set to 100% .... and resolve does not completely remove it for me but try Luma=Chroma=30 and motion = 100 just to see if it helps any .. you should see some difference. There is motion "jump", brightness flicker, and what I call "mosquito" noise that all...

Litchi, Create a waypoint mission from a GPS file

Flying it and using the C1 button will record it. If you set the mission parameters to interpolate before flying/recording, it will also capture the gimbal pitch angle as well. If you do walk it, I think you can import the KMZ into google earth and export a KML back to Litchi mission hub.

Mavic pro flickering: Davinci resolve vs Neat video

That all sounds reasonable. If you are willing to go down to 2.7k, you might try 24fps and adjust shutter speed/ND filter accordingly. The compression ratio is less (22.2 vs 17.8) and the video is cleaner (at least to me). But, overall, I am quite disappointed in the Mavic video quality. On...

Mavic pro flickering: Davinci resolve vs Neat video

Update on the effort to knock down the over-sharpening ... tried a different approach that I think works a little better. Took the output from the TNR node and ran it to a layer/combiner node along with a Gaussian blurred version of itself. Settings were, Gaussian blur (strength=.14...

Mavic pro flickering: Davinci resolve vs Neat video

Seems like it made a decent improvement but clearly did not eliminate it. You might play with the luma/chroma parameters. That clip has a lot of details and motion at the same time and given the bandwidth limitations and compression on the Mavic, there are some clips that I don't think you can...

Mavic pro flickering: Davinci resolve vs Neat video

Gastone360, I played with cutting it down, 15 was acceptable but 20 still seemed better. On my monitor (iMAC 5K), this specific clip, and my eyes, I did not see much true sharpness degradation (DLOG +1 sharpness). I did see "fake" sharpness reduction (noise, etc.). I think the true sharpness...

Mavic pro flickering: Davinci resolve vs Neat video

I did some recent test shots and messed with the Davinci Temporal noise settings. If you look carefully, you can see the noise jump every 8 frames in the scopes. Using this, I worked on tweaking some parameters and balancing that with degradation of the sharpness. While I suspect the settings...

Mavic Pro II - New Image Sensor?

Or the Phantom 5 could go to a 4/3 16 mbit or 20 mbit sensor and have Mavic go to a 1" sensor ... we can hope :)

Let's help DJI design the Mavic Pro 2 (or whatever it's called)

1" sensor with 4K@30fps at 100Mbps without too many compression artifacts, 4K@60fps would be nice. That alone will make me buy it. But, more obstacle avoidance would be nice. I am fine with the size and air time. They would be nice but just gravy for me. If I did not think there was a...

Don't care about smaller toy drones - Give us a better Mavic camera!

100% agree! Hopefully the Mavic Pro II will have a better camera. 60Mbps limit on 4K@30 fps is just too low for the kind of footage I would like.
